Terms Of Service
By using our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
- Spam: We do not tolerate any form of spam. In general, spam refers to any unsolicited commercial messages sent to multiple people. This includes e-mail messages (the most common form of spam), Usenet newsgroup postings, messages sent through instant messaging services, etc. Sending spam through our servers is strictly prohibited. Sending spam through other systems that mentions a site or e-mail address hosted on our servers is also strictly prohibited.
- Hacking: Attempting an unauthorized Denial of Service (DoS) attack on this or any other network or server is a violation of our Terms of Service. Unauthorized entry into any computer system is also prohibited, including but not limited to the unauthorized access of a "Trojan horse" server. However, we recognize that network utilities such as ping, traceroute, and port scanners are useful diagnostic tools, and the use of such tools is permitted, as long as their use does not interfere with our systems.
- Virii: Intentionally spreading computer virii to unknowing recipients is prohibited. We encourage Windows users to install virus scanning software.
- Fraud: Fraudulent activities, including forging e-mail or newsgroup headers, "spoofing" IP addresses, or impersonating another person is prohibited.
- Illegal activities: Illegal activities that involve our servers in any way will be reported to the proper authorities. We will fully cooperate with law enforcement agencies.
- Service guarantees: While we do our best to ensure that our services are as reliable as possible, problems can occur, and our services can go down. We do not make any guarantees about the services we offer, and will not be held liable for any consequences of service outages, including but not limited to loss of revenue.
- Violations: Any violation of our Terms of Service will be evaluated and dealt with on a case-by-case basis. We reserve the right to take any action we deem appropriate, and we reserve the right to terminate the account of any user for any reason. If you feel one of our users has violated our Terms of Service, please contact us at abuse@slickhosting.com and include as much information about the issue as possible so that we can investigate. E-mail spam complaints must include the full message headers.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time, with or without notice. Future versions of this document will be posted online at http://www.slickhosting.com/about/tos.pl. Those future revisions will supercede this version. Check back here often.
